Teen struck in head with hole punch, teacher has broken arm following fight at BOCES II

A fight at Erie II BOCES School on Baker Road led to a teenager being struck on the head with a hole punch and a teacher with a broken arm Wednesday morning, Orchard Park police said.

A 16-year-old boy from Orchard Park was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was being held for arraignment. Police did not release his name because of his age.

The incident was reported to police at about 9:30 a.m.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was struck in the head with “a large 3 hole punch.” The boy suffered a head injury and a broken hand and was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital.

A teacher who tried to break up the fight suffered a broken arm and was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
