LOCKPORT – A man who was charged with putting a 9-millimeter pistol to his then-girlfriend’s head last July 18 in North Tonawanda pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon said she won’t give Michael T. Lawrence the maximum seven-year prison term, but said she still might send him to state prison when he returns to court Aug. 10.
Lawrence, 29, of Grove Street, City of Tonawanda, was living in on Mead Street in North Tonawanda at the time of the crime.
In another sentencing Wednesday, Sheldon gave Cindy A. Domin, 40, of North Tonawanda, six months in jail for violating probation on a conviction for attempted third-degree robbery. Domin stole a woman’s purse in the parking lot of a North Tonawanda apartment building on June 17, 2010.
