Sedan demolished in crash with a tourist bus

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – The driver of a four-door sedan was extricated from the vehicle after it was demolished in a crash with a tourist bus on the Niagara Parkway near the Whirlpool Golf Court about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Niagara Parks Police Service reported.

The unidentified driver of the sedan was taken by a Niagara Emergency Medical Services vehicle for treatment of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. Four passengers on the tourist bus suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention and the Niagara Parks Commission send two more buses to the scene to allow all the bus passengers to continue their sight-seeing excursion. The Parkway was closed near the golf course for about 30 minutes after the crash until debris was cleared away. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
