Wildhoney brings shoegazer rock to Mohawk Place

Baltimore post-punk act Wildhoney will be back in town Tuesday night in what has already been a busy early week at Mohawk Place.

The shoegazers most recently released a stellar, three-track EP on Bandcamp titled “Seventeen Forever," in the spring of 2014 and will drop a full length later this summer through British Columbia label, Deranged/Forward Records.

The fuzzy, female fronted five-piece recalls shoegazer groups of yesterday year like My Bloody Valentine, Black Tambourine and Ride, in addition to modern acts like the Besnard Lakes and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

Opening for Wildhoney will be Buffalo slacker rockers Difficult Night, Scottish high-pitched poppers the Spook School and Alien Three.

Tickets can be bought at Ticketfly prior to the show for $7 or for $10 at the door. Music begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Further event details can be found here.
