Town of Lockport resumes e-waste collections

LOCKPORT – The Town of Lockport’s restart of electronic waste drop-offs was a hit Saturday, Councilman Mark C. Crocker said.

About 125 town residents showed up at the new shed behind Town Hall and left more than 4,500 pounds of electronics behind, Crocker said.

The drop-offs are being held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month and are open to town residents only. TV sets, computers, microwave ovens, printers, copiers, fax machines and video equipment are being accepted.
