Three Lockport men arrested after high speed chase

LOCKPORT – After a high speed chase that began in the Town of Cambria late Sunday night two Lockport men were arrested after they were stopped in separate vehicles at High and Hyde Park in the City of Lockport and allegedly tried to flee.

A third man, also of Lockport, was arrested for drunken driving on Hyde Park in a separate incident as Niagara County sheriff’s deputies were dealing with the two earlier suspects.

Diamond W. Ubiles, 19, the driver who speed off in Cambria, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, third-degree aggravated unlicensed driving and Vehicle and Traffic infractions. Enrique Quiles, 40, who was allegedly driving a car into which Ubiles fled in the city was arrested on charges of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicles.

While dealing with those two suspects, sheriff’s deputies arrested Keith R. Garvey, 22, of Lockport, on Hyde Park about 12:49 a.m. Monday and charged him with driving while intoxicated.

All three suspects face Lockport City Court proceedings. According to the sheriff’s department Ubiles was driving at speeds of over 100 mph when he drove away in the Town of Cambria and before he stopped his car and then tried to flee with Quiles in the City of Lockport.
