Senate committee approves $7.7 million for improvements at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station

The Senate Appropriations Committee has agreed to spend $7.7 million for facilities improvement at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Sens. Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, report. The measure now can move on to the full Senate.

The funding will consolidate all Air National Guard unmanned air operations and training at the base into a single site in the current squadron operations center.

“It is high time we revitalize these facilities,” Schumer says, “so we can give the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station the state-of-the-art operations center and control station it needs.”
