Fiero, 408 Evans St., opened Saturday night. The Mediterranean-themed restaurant will be offering Turkish and Moroccan dishes in addition to Italian fare, said owner Michael Berger.
The opening menu includes lamb tagine, whole roasted branzino, grilled chicken with preserved lemon, olives and polenta, and eggplant three ways (burrata-stuffed, eggplant caviar, and with charred raisin vinaigrette).
Fiero’s chef is Sergio Aquino, who was the original chef at Mode on Elmwood Avenue. The restaurant plans to be open for lunch and dinner.
