Leah Kaplan and Jesse Corradi were married at 5:30 p.m. on May 24 in Hotel Lafayette, Buffalo, where a reception was held following the ceremony. Cantor Barbara Ostfeld of American Conference of Cantors, Williamsville, heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Dr. Robert E. Kaplan and Jean Doerr of Buffalo. The bridegroom’s parents are Carla Alvarez-Gould of Hoboken, N.J., and Dennis and Erika Corradi of San Francisco. The bride is a graduate of Nichols School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Amherst College and also earned a master’s degree in health and behavioral studies from Teachers College, Columbia University. The bride is a teacher at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School. The groom is a graduate of Poughkeepsie Day School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Amherst College and also earned a master’s degree in international affairs from School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University. He is a special assistant at the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. The couple will make their home in Washington, D.C.
