A 24-year-old man was charged in the assault of a 20-year-old woman during a domestic argument early Friday evening in Orchard Park, police reported.
Albert Fernandez, 24, fled the scene around 7:30 p.m. on Deer Run, police said.
The woman told police Fernandez had grabbed her and pushed her around the house, into doorways and down the stairs. She was injured after Fernandez pushed her down to the ground, police said.
She also told police that Fernandez held her against her will in a room of the house for 45 minutes. It could not be immediately determined who lived in the residence, located in an area where houses were sold recently for $400,000 and up.
Fernandez was pulled over a short time later East Aurora police and taken into custody.
He was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, unlawful imprisonment, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Fernandez was arraigned on Orchard Park Town Court and released after an order of protection was issued.
The investigation is continuing with additional charges likely, police said.
