The National Lacrosse League playoffs are down to two teams – and for the first time in league history, both of those squads are from Canada.
The Toronto Rock will host the Edmonton Rush in Game One of the NLL Finals on Saturday night. The game, which opens a best-of-three series, starts at 7 p.m.
The teams reached the final in slightly different ways. Toronto lost the first game of a series with Rochester, but took the second game and the mini-game to advance. Edmonton won its opener at home, lost the second game but took the mini-game take the West crown.
Rush owner Bruce Urban has said that the team’s future in Edmonton is in doubt. Therefore, Friday’s Game Two in Edmonton could be the Rush’s final game in that city.
