Meeting about Buffalo Avenue corridor set for June 9

NIAGARA FALLS – A public meeting about planning to revitalize the Buffalo Avenue corridor will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 9 in the cafeteria of the Niagara Falls Community Education Center, 6040 Lindbergh Ave.

The aim of the project is to create “transformative redevelopment strategies” for about 1,800 acres along Buffalo Avenue and the waterfront along the Niagara River between the I-190 and 10th Street.

Attendees will have an opportunity to comment on the draft vision statement for the area and give feedback on some of the ideas that came out of earlier work on the Buffalo Avenue corridor.

There’s a website for the project, niagaraopportunity.org.
