Lower the water rate for agricultural use
I have lived many places in states from Pennsylvania to California. Every place I have lived has a lower water rate for agricultural use. That is, every place until now. Even in the drought-stricken state of California, my water rate for my quarter-acre garden was much lower than my water rate for home use.
I am hoping that someone will be able to explain to me why, with the abundance of water available in this area, the Erie County Water Authority penalizes me every summer with a higher water rate for growing my own fruits and vegetables?
