Three arrested in Jamestown crack cocaine raids

JAMESTOWN – Two men and a woman were arrested Thursday morning in raids linked to a months-long investigation into the sales and trafficking of crack cocaine in the Jamestown area. During simultaneous raids about 6:40 a.m. by agents of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and State Police, Raymond Johnson, 35, and Vanessa Figueredo, 27, were arrested in a third-floor flat at 73 Grant Street and Jason Johnson, 28, was arrested at 84 Falconer St.

Jamestown Police Capt. Robert Samuelson, who noted the Johnsons are not related, said Raymond Johnson and Vanessa Figueredo were arrested on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia after agents reported finding more than two ounces of crack cocaine and over $1,500 in cash in the Grant Street flat. Jason Johnson was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after agents reporting seizing nine grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of cash in the Falconer Street raid.

All three are jailed pending further court proceedings. Anyone with information about illegal sales or possession of narcotics in the Jamestown area is asked to contact the drug task force anonymous tip line at 483-8477.
