Congressman announces federal grant for Warsaw Fire Department

WARSAW – The Village of Warsaw Fire Department has been awarded a $78,897 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters program, Rep. Chris Collins announced Wednesday. The congressman said the money will let the company improve its capabilities to respond to fires and other emergencies. “Many small fire companies and emergency medical service providers like Warsaw are unable to purchase necessary equipment upgrades due to financial limitations and this grant will help create a more efficient and effective” fire department, Collins said.
