NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – Plans are moving forward to establish ziplining and an aerial adventure course at two spots in Canadian parks along the Niagara River.
The Niagara Parks Commission on Tuesday announced it has received approval from the Ontario provincial government to enter into an agreement with Niagara Adventure Excursions Inc. for the project.
Additional studies must be completed before a final operating agreement is signed and initial construction starts later this year, the commission said in a news release. The new zip line attraction will be located at Grand View Marketplace and the aerial adventure course at Thompson Point.
Niagara Adventure Excursions is working with WildPlay Element Parks, which has developed five aerial adventure parks and ziplines in western Canada and has been a consultant to outdoor parks in North America and the Caribbean, the commission said.
