Lockport seeks more sesquicentennial events

LOCKPORT – The City of Lockport Sesquicentennial Committee is seeking more events to add to the lineup for the city’s 150th anniversary celebration, which is to last from June 27 through July 5.

More than 100 events already are listed, but the deadline is Friday to submit more plans to be included in the brochure the committee plans to publish.

Businesses and private citizens may plan their own events, submitting them online at Lockport150.com. The brochure is being designed by HG Design Studios, printed by Summit MSP, and paid for by the Lockport Business Association with a matching grant from the county’s William G. Mayne Jr. Business/Community Enhancement Grants.
