Article about recipes stirred fond memories
Mary Kunz Goldman’s article about her grandmother’s recipes was delightful. Unlike Mary, I knew my grandmother, Laura Bemiss Angell. She was born in 1880 and lived to be 98 years old. I have recipes of hers calling for bacon fat or “shortening the size of an egg.” No organics, no gluten-free and no kale. Those were the good old days.
