Buffalo man pleads guilty to NT crack sale

LOCKPORT – Jamone S. Crum, 28, of Custer Street, Buffalo, pleaded guilty in State Supreme Court Wednesday to selling crack cocaine to a Niagara County Drug Task Force agent Sept. 30 in North Tonawanda.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. admitted Crum to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment after his plea to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. His co-defendant in the case, DWight M. Hayes Jr., 30, of Kensington Avenue, Buffalo, took the same plea deal May 8.

Crum, a second-time felon, risks up to 12 years in prison if he washes out of treatment, but will receive a revised plea to a misdemeanor and a nonjail sentence if he succeeds.
