Sit in the driver’s seat of fire engines, a school bus, a trolley, race car, a zamboni and even climb in a bucket truck bucket. About 40 different kinds of trucks will be in the parking lot for the Explore & More Children’s Museum‘s sixth annual Touch-A-Truck exhibit 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundayat 300 Gleed Ave.

“We’re expecting over 3,000,” said Jennifer Fee, public relations manager. “My teenagers love it. My younger daughter loves it. It’s a blast.”

The event, packed with a variety of vehicle-related fun, will include a derby car race, a bounce house, an electric wire demonstration, chalk art, an ice cream truck and three other food trucks.

This week:

• The East Aurora Village Board meets at 7 p.m. Monday at Village Hall, 571 Main St.

• The Town Board a work session at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Municipal Center, 300 Gleed Ave.

• The East Aurora School Board will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at East Aurora Middle School, 430 Main St.

East Aurora High School hosts its second annual food truck event and district art show on Wednesday at the high school, 1009 Center Street. The food trucks will begin serving at 5 p.m. with the art show scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. The vendors will include Philly Flattop Food Truck, Kona Shaved Ice Truck and Dippin Dots Ice Cream.

Proceeds will benefit the East Aurora High School Parent Teacher Organization. The money raised will be used to help fund transportation for events, activities and field trips; purchase classroom equipment; pay for entrance fees to regional and national academic competitions; help pay for prom and post prom activities; a badminton tournament; and fund speakers and author visits to the school.
