Two juveniles were arrested early Saturday after the owner of a vehicle reported stolen Thursday in Lancaster spotted the vehicle in an East Side restaurant drive-thru, police said.
The owner told Northeast District officers he saw his 2010 GMC Yukon leave a McDonald’s on Grider Street about 3 a.m. and pull into the parking lot of a gas station across the street on East Delevan Avenue. A 17-year-old male observed by officers leaving the store and walking back to the vehicle admitted driving the vehicle, according to a report.
The vehicle was recovered in damaged condition and returned to the owner, police said.
Both juveniles were charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and fourth- and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. One of the juveniles was also charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.
