County should return surplus to taxpayers
In response to letter, “It’s time to put an end to corruption in Albany,” I totally agree with all the writer said. As soon as these politicians are to be investigated, they want to run and hide.
I want to bring it closer to home. Last week on the evening news and in this paper, we were told that there was a multimillion surplus in the taxes collected in Erie County. And then we were told it could not be returned to the constituents of Erie County. Why not? Because they want to put it in their pockets?
If that money was returned to its rightful owners, what an economic stimulus that would be. Stop putting our money into useless projects that make the politicians and those we have elected look good, just so they can get elected again and dip their hands in our cookie jar!
