FootGolf introduced at Delaware Park

A new growing sport that combines golf with soccer was introduced Saturday at Delaware Park.

A course for FootGolf, especially popular among millennials, was prepared at the park, with parks crews digging 21-inch diameter cups.

Players kick soccer balls over the nine- and 18-hole course, with the goal of kicking the fewest number of times to drop the balls into the cups.

Distances for the par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes range between 100 and 250 years. No cleats are allowed,

“We’re thrilled to bring one of the fastest growing sports in the country to Delaware Park and Buffalo,” said Stephanie Crockatt, interim director of Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy,
