Michael Drmacich, an assistant district attorney, announced Saturday that he will run for City of Tonawanda Judge.
Drmacich has been an assistant district attorney of Erie County District Attorney for 28 years, working in the grand jury, appeals, narcotics, and felony trial bureaus, as well as prosecuting misdemeanor crimes in lower courts including Tonawanda City Court.
A graduate of Tonawanda High School and University of Detroit School of Law. he has also served as a legal advisor for the City of Tonawanda Police Department for more than 20 years, and is a member of the National Hose Company 1 Volunteer Fire Company.
Drmacich, his wife, Janine, and their two daughters, reside in the City of Tonawanda, and is a former soccer coach for the Tonawanda Soccer Club.
Judge Joseph J. Cassata recently announced that he is retiring.
