WHEATFIELD – A public hearing has been set for 3:30 p.m. June 2 in Niagara Falls City Hall, 745 Main St., on a tax break sought by the prospective new owners of the Hotel Niagara, the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency announced Thursday.
The IDA board received the request Wednesday from Reception Hotels and Resorts, which plans to buy the downtown hotel for $4.4 million and invest $21.5 million in a new interior and a Radisson rebranding.
Other public hearings on tax breaks scheduled by the IDA include a session at 4 p.m. June 3 in Pendleton Town Hall, 6570 Campbell Blvd., for the Patel family’s plan to build a 72-room Hampton Inn on South Transit Road; and two hearings June 4 in the IDA’s offices, 6311 Inducon Corporate Drive, Wheatfield.
The first, at 3:15 p.m., will consider a request for aid for Bulldog Business Park, a 12,000-square-foot multitenant complex planned for Cory Drive in Wheatfield. At 3:30, there will be a hearing on Original Pizza Logs’ request for incentives for a new $3 million plant in the IDA’s industrial park off Lockport Road.
