Hires/Promotions/ Honors

Evans Bank appointed Nikolas Mroz an assistant vice president and business development officer. Mroz has held management positions with Rite Aid Corp. and Darden Restaurants, and with Fifth Third Bank and KeyBank.


Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan, promoted Joy M. Denzak to director of medical management in the Buffalo office. Denzak who joined the company in 2012, earned a diploma in nursing from Sisters of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo and an MBA from Canisius College.


Jamestown Community College Alumni Committee selected Debra Oyer as a 2015 recipient of the 2015 Nurse of Distinction Award. Oyer was one of 11 honorees selected for her outstanding achievements in the nursing profession. The award is given to those who best reflect the college’s tradition of excellence and honors those who have brought credit to the college not only through professional achievement, but also through personal demonstration of character and commitment. She is a medical/surgical charge nurse at Brooks Memorial Hospital.


Phillips Lytle managing partner David J. McNamara delivered a speech on the subject of law firm expansion to the membership of LawExchange International in London recently. Phillips Lytle LLP is a member of LawExchange International, an association of independent law firms covering the world’s major commercial centers within Europe, North and South America, the Asia/Pacific and the Middle East.

Company Connections

Crowley Webb recently received a Telly Award and an American Advertising Federation District Two ADDY award. The Telly Award is for the TV spot for the Rhapsody Study, part of an integrated campaign to recruit people suffering from diabetic neuropathy for a medical research study on new medication. Crowley Webb also received a silver award from the AAF’s District Two ADDY Awards competition for the 2015 calendar it created for Praxis, its patient recruitment division.


New Directions Youth and Family Services received a $121,248 technology grant from the Peter and Elizabeth C. Towner Foundation to implement an agencywide “myEvolv” electronic health record system. The new system will integrate data from all of the agency’s departments.
