The Made In America Store will host a party at its Elma store Saturday to celebrate its 5th anniversary.
Local artist Matt Hannah will do a chain saw carving demonstration, creating a sculpture over the course of the day. Three country and rock bands will also perform: Ricky Lee, The Original CPR Band and the Felicia Lynn Band. Dale’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ will be on site selling food.
The event takes place at the store, 900 Maple Road in Elma, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Mark Andol opened the Made in America Store concept in 2010 as a way to support American manufacturing, jobs and small business owners. He opened the original Elmas store after his company, General Welding and Fabricating, lost a multi-million-dollar manufacturing contract to a company in China and was forced to close two plants, furloughing half its workers.
