With seven weeks to go, the $10.9 million goal of the 2015 Catholic Charities Appeal is within reach, officials said Tuesday.
The campaign has raised $10,532,335 in cash and pledges, or 96.6 percent of the target. Appeal leaders asked the community for help in meeting the goal by the June 30 closing date.
“Our 91st annual Appeal is slightly behind where it was last year,” said Bishop Richard J. Malone, “so one final push from everyone who can consider a donation, no matter what size, will help us achieve our goal.”
Funds raised assist more than 142,000 Western New Yorkers, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, through 70 programs and services throughout the eight-county region.
