Buffalo Police spokesman Michael DeGeorge said Saturday that police have a suspect in custody in connection with the stabbing of two teenagers Friday night in Cazenovia Park.
The stabbings of two 17-year-old boys occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. and followed an argument between two groups of teenagers at opposite ends of the suspension bridge in the park, police said. The stabbings resulted when one group of four teens crossed the bridge to confront the other group, described as a group of skateboarders, and a fight ensued.
According to police, after one of the 17-year-olds was stabbed in the stomach, another male took on the same suspect and was stabbed five times in the chest, stomach and back. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was released after treatment. His friend, who was stabbed once, was treated and released from Mercy Hospital.
