WASTE DROP-OFF: The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, in cooperation with the Town of Amherst, Erie Community College and Northeast Southtowns Solid Waste Management, will hold a hazardous household waste drop-off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the ECC North Campus, 6205 Main St., Amherst. MOTHER’S DAY TEA: The Hull Family Home and Farmstead will host the annual Mother’s Day Tea at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday at 5962 Genesee St., Lancaster. The cost for adults is $20 and children younger than 10, $10. All proceeds benefit the restoration of the Hull Family Home and Farmstead.

RUN FOR literacy: The Cummins 5K Run for Literacy will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday and the 5K walk at 9:05 a.m., at the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., Jamestown. Registration is $20 at Proceeds benefit the library’s Family Literacy Program.

mother’s day mass: Bishop Richard J. Malone will celebrate a special Mothers’ Day Mass at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin St. The Mass will include the Rite for the Blessing of a Child in the Womb.
