ADOPTION EVENT: The Ten Lives Club cat shelter will hold an adoption event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdayat 3741 Lake Shore Road, Blasdell. HEALING MASS: Anointing of the Sick Healing Mass in honor of St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer, will take place at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Chapel, Transit and Stahley roads, East Amherst. Father David A. Bellittiere and Friends of St. Peregrine invite those afflicted with cancer or who need special healing and wish to receive the Anointing of the Sick. For information call 283-0011.

IMAGINE SERIES: Sister Denise Roche, president of D’Youville College will give a presentation,“Spiritual Guides Today; St. Marguerite d’Youville 1771-2015” as part of the Imagine a Healthy, Wealthy and Sustainable Community lecture-discussion series from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday on the main floor of the Central Library’s Ring of Knowledge, near Fables Cafe, 1 Lafayette Square, Her address follows a video showing at noon of “The Cathedral: Amiens-The Limit of Height.” The free event is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History and Nature.
