Buffalo man admits to cocaine conspiracy

The last of five defendants in a cocaine conspiracy case admitted his guilt Wednesday before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

James Humphrey Jr., 41, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney George C. Burgasser said Humphrey traveled to Ohio to obtain the cocaine and he and his co-defendants would then sell it in Buffalo.

Humphrey’s guilty plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
