LOCKPORT – The 20th annual Niagara County Traffic Safety Fair, which is expected to draw 2,800 high school students from four counties, will be held from next Tuesday through May 22 at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 4497 Lake Ave.
The fair is designed to expose teens to a variety of traffic safety pitfalls, including drunken driving. Some participants will get a chance to wear goggles that simulate intoxication, according to Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour. Other focuses include the dangers of texting and distracted driving and the importance of seat belts. For further information, contact Lt. Robert Richards at (716) 438-3310.
