Buffalo cocaine trafficker pleads guilty in Federal Court

Charles Humphrey, 46,of Buffalo, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara Monday to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine in Buffalo.

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. said Humphrey faces a minimum prison term of five years and a maximum term of up to 40 years and a fine of up to $5 million when he is sentenced Aug. 17. Assistant U.S. Attorney George C. Burgasser said Humphrey distributed multiple quantities of cocaine in the city between 2009 and Jan. 13, 2010 when he was arrested shortly after selling cocaine to a confidential government source.
