Where we live: Town of Tonawanda

Town of Tonawanda

Residents of the town’s Parkview neighborhood plan to ask the Town Board on Monday for a review of zoning laws where residential and general business areas border each other.

The residents object to the four floors and 50-foot height proposed for a Holiday Inn Express hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard, between Forbes and Thistle avenues, near Ellicott Creek Park. Residents behind the property have raised privacy concerns, saying hotel guests on the upper floors will have a clear view into their homes and back yards.

The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4 in the second-floor conference room.
