NIAGARA FALLS – The history of the Shredded Wheat company will be the topic as collector and researcher Teresa Lasher Winslow gives a presentation at 6 p.m. May 13 in the second-floor auditorium of the Niagara Falls Public Library, 1425 Main St.
In “It’s All in the Shreds,” Lasher Winslow will introduce Henry Perky, the man who invented Shredded Wheat, and talk about why he located the company in Niagara Falls. Her appearance is sponsored by the Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Society.
The library is exhibiting a small display from her collection of Shredded Wheat memorabilia and more items will be shown on the night of her lecture.
Shredded Wheat company workers or their relatives are invited to bring any photos, work clothes, company printed materials and other memorabilia to be shared and scanned by Lasher Winslow’s associate Elaine Timm.
