Enrique Rodriguez started sexually abusing his victim when she was 9 years old.
By the time she was 16, prosecutors said, he was raping her.
Now he faces up to 50 years in prison after he admitted raping and sodomizing the girl, according to Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III.
Rodriquez, 46, of Victory Avenue, Lackawanna, pleaded guilty as charged this week in Erie County Court to two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of third-degree rape, two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act, three counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and one count of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child.
The sexual conduct against a child occurred between Aug. 17, 2007 and Oct. 7, 2010, while the other crimes were committed in 2013 and 2014, prosecutors said.
Judge Michael F. Pietruszka set sentencing for June 16 for Rodriguez, who is in custody.
Assistant District Attorneys Rosanne Johnson, chief of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau, and Liam Dwyer prosecuted the case.
