Games against Old Dominion, Saint Joseph’s and North Carolina A&T are on tap as UB and Niagara men’s basketball teams announced their participation in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame 2015 Tip-Off Tournament.
The Bulls will play on-campus road games against Old Dominion on Nov. 16 and Saint Joseph’s on Nov. 18. They’ll then travel to the tournament hub, Mohegan Sun Arena, for a Nov. 21 game against North Carolina A&T.
That will be followed two days later by a game against either Vermont or Niagara.
The Purple Eagles open Nov. 13 at Old Dominion, followed by a Nov. 15 game at Saint Joseph’s. Niagara will meet Vermont in the Mohegan Sun Arena portion of the event with the winner facing the UB-NC A&T victor.
Florida and Purdue also are participating in the tournament, which is hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Old Dominion, which plays in Conference USA, went 27-8 last season and advanced to the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament before losing to Stanford.
Saint Joseph’s is coming off a 13-18 season, North Carolina A&T 9-23.
