Falls man injured in armed assault

NIAGARA FALLS – A 25–year–old man was injured just before 11 p.m. Monday in an alleged knife assault outside Jordan Gardens. The attack was reportedly started by a drug deal gone bad.

The unidentified victim, who was cut in the forearm, was taken by Rural/Metro Medical Services ambulance to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

The victim told police that a man came to his house to “sell him some weed,” but he said he did not like the quality of the marijuana and refused to buy it. The other man became angry and punched a screen door.

The victim said he then felt pain in his left forearm and noticed he was bleeding. He said he believed he had been cut by a knife. People at the scene were unable to provide police with any information.

Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were called to investigate.
