Buffalo woman given one-year jail term for stolen car

A 35-year-old Buffalo woman was ordered Monday by Cheektowaga Town Judge Paul S. Piotrowski to spend up to the next year in the Erie County Correctional Facility on her guilty plea to a misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge.

Cassandra L. Cutway of South Ogden Street was sentenced on her plea for her quick arrest by town police after she stole a car from the parking lot of a Harlem Road business last Nov. 15. The judge refused to grant her any more leniency on her pre-trial plea deal, citing her past criminal history.
