Employees of four Allegany County businesses accused of selling alcohol to minors

Employees of four Allegany County businesses were accused of selling alcohol to minors during the latest compliance inspections by State Police.

The inspections, coordinated with the State Liquor Authority, were conducted Friday, police reported.

The following were charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor: Krishna S. Amin, 27, at Gentleman Jim’s, Alfred; Ernest R. Walters, 30, at Arrow Mart, Friendship; Dennis P. Lee, 30, at Better Days, Wellsville; and Ruth A. Neal, 27, at Short’s Deli, Wellsville. Police said each was issued an appearance ticket to appear in local court.

Businesses found to be in compliance were Alex’s, in Alfred; Town & Country Market, Alma; Mulheisen’s, Almond; America Hotel, Angelica; Belfast Mini Mart, Belfast; Miller & Brandes, Friendship; the Store and Scio Mini Mart, both in Scio; and Shorts, A Plus, Park Plaza Liquors and Hamar’s Pub, all in Wellsville.
