Where We Live: Orchard Park

Orchard Park

The nonprofit “Joyful Rescues” hosts pet adoptions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday at PetSmart, 3425 Amelia Drive. Cats and dogs are ready for a new home. They have vaccinations, health checks and microchips. See pictures and fill out an application at joyfulrescues.org.

Joyful Rescues, now in its 13th year, looks for new homes for dogs and cats given up by previous owners and rescued from “puppy mills.” For information about volunteering and adopting, call Mimi Smith at 372-4387 or write mimismith47@gmail.com.
