South Buffalo man reportedly stabbed on East Side

A South Buffalo man told police he was stabbed by a group of men during an attempted robbery Sunday afternoon on the city’s East Side.

The victim, 22, was walking along East Delavan Avenue at Suffolk Street at about 2 p.m. when he was approached by three unknown suspects who frisked him and demanded money, according to a report. The victim told Northeast District officers he was punched in the stomach and stabbed twice with an unknown sharp object.

The victim received stitches at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the report stated.
