A South Buffalo man is accused of injecting heroin in an SUV Friday evening while a three-year-old girl sat in the back seat.
Christopher M. Cavalieri, 24, of Southside Parkway, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
South District Officers Robert Gonez and Peter Nigrelli responded about 6:40 p.m. to a 911 call reporting drug use in a vehicle in a Cumberland Avenue parking lot, according to a report. Gonez reported finding several empty bags containing heroin residue from Cavalieri’s pants pocket while Nigrelli said he discovered a soda bottle cap containing heroin in Cavalieri’s book bag.
Information on Cavalieri’s relationship to the child, if any, and on what happened to the child, was not specified in the report.
