LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Chapter of SCOPE, the Shooters Committee On Political Education, has announced that the state organization is offering two Bob Clark Memorial Scholarships for this year, one for a graduating high school senior and the other for a student pursuing a post-graduate degree.
County Chairman Russ Petrie said, “These scholarships are an excellent opportunity for freedom-loving students in our county to help offset the high costs of education. We would be excited and proud if one or both of these scholarships were awarded to students in our county.”
The purpose of these scholarships is to help students who show academic promise, and whose commitment to the right to keep and bear arms is such that helping them earn a degree will benefit all gun owners in New York State. Recipients will judged on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, recommendations and a written essay. Applications are available by calling 941-3286 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
