Robbie Raugh, a BAC for Women group fitness instructor and veteran fitness leader in Western New York, has released her first book, “The Raw Truth Recharge: 7 Truths for Health and Fitness!”
Raugh has peddled the book during the last week across the Northtowns and is scheduled to be in New York City this weekend to sign books at Whole Foods and the World Conference for the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
The book shares Raugh’s truths about faith, family, food, fitness, detox, sleep and stress management, and explains how all work together to form the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual strengths key to health.
“This book will, without a doubt, transform your life,” Jill Kelly, wife of Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, writes in an endorsement for the book.
Raugh is a registered nurse, master fitness trainer and integrative health and nutrition coach. She co-hosts her own radio show, “The Raw Truth,” Saturday mornings on WDCX-FM 99.5, has created four “Raw Energy Fitness Exercise” videos and has dispensed advice on local television and in the pages of WNY Refresh, including a story published in June 2013 under the headline, “The shape of summer is still up to you.”
Raugh said the book is designed to teach ways to increase your energy, be and feel healthy, decrease your body fat, increase your muscle mass, shape your body, cut cravings, and focus your energy to fulfill your calling.
The book is available for $16.99 for Kindle and in paperback for $1 more at amazon.com. You also can buy copies at Pine Pharmacy, BAC for Women and Feel Rite Fresh Market locations across the region.
Raugh said she felt “humbled and grateful” for the reception she’s had at several local book signings leading up to her trip to Manhattan, including from people who already have read the book and started working out and losing weight.
“It’s very surreal,” she told Refresh, “as I think I was so busy writing the book, I didn’t give much thought to the feedback I would receive after the book release, and I see God’s hand in all of it.”
