Temperatures will be become more seasonal toward the middle of the new week, and may even get warmer than usual by next weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
A north wind has kept the thermometer about 10 degrees below normal the past week, Weather Service meteorologist Steve Welch said.
“It looks like it’s going to start warming up on Tuesday,” when the high should reach 60 degrees, he said. But before that, the region faces rain showers beginning Sunday evening and lasting 24 to 36 hours. Sunday’s high will be about 50 degrees, and Monday’s high will be about 48 degrees.
It will be partly to mostly cloudy this week after the rain, with some breaks in the clouds.
