LOCKPORT – Construction of new sidewalks on Corinthia Street in Lockport is to begin Monday, according to an announcement Friday from Catherine H. Knab of Wendel, the engineering firm that designed the job.
Roman Construction Development Corp. of Pendleton is the contractor on a $447,816 job to install new sidewalks leading public schools in the City and Town of Lockport this year. Besides Corinthia Street, other sites will be East High Street, Locust Street Extension and Hi-Point Drive.
Knab emailed Corinthia Street residents, “The contractor will start preparing the sidewalk subbase and then place the concrete sidewalk. Please note that once the concrete sidewalk is constructed across your driveway, vehicle access over the newly poured concrete will be prohibited for approximately three days. We and the contractor will work with you if you need vehicle access.”
