We need more like Bharara to expose corrupt politicians
Finally, a U.S. attorney who is doing something to rid the cesspool of corruption in Albany. New York State is one of the most corrupt states in the country and Albany is its poster child.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, if he is serious about ending corruption, should do the right thing. He started the Moreland Commission to end corruption. He even went as far as to say that even his office was open to any investigation. Then when the investigation got too close to him, he abruptly shut it down. Cuomo then went on to say that the commission was a “phenomenal success.”
It was a success until he decided to quickly shut it down. So much for ending corruption in Albany. We desperately need more people like U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, who are willing to go out and do what the voters can’t do. I congratulate him for doing what others should have done a long time ago.
