BARANOWSKI, Willa Margot

BARANOWSKI - Willa Margot September 8, 1937 - April 23, 2015. Of Venice, FL, formerly of Orchard Park, NY, died on April 23, 2015, surrounded by family at home. Willa was a teacher and avid quilter. She authored a book entitled Historical Penny Squares Embroidery Patterns and lectured on the subject for years. She was a member of the American Quilters' Society and Venice Area Quilters' Guild. She was on the board of the Friends of the Venice Library and volunteered with the library working with the young children for years. Willa has left her legacy in the hearts of many through her genuine acts of kindness and compassion for people of all ages. Her greatest love was her family. Survivors include John, her husband of 56 years; two daughters, Margot Elizabeth Urmano and Rose Marie Creasy; son, William; and six grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time.
